Before you were a parent you might have believed that your child was going to turn out just like Sophia the First. You know that sweet, perfect, and caring, character from Disney Junior? Then you become a parent and awaked to the reality that in fact most kids fall somewhere in between Sophia and that kid from the movie Problem Child. They can be demanding, frustrating, loud, impatient and angry. They can also be funny, curious, caring and sensitive. Just like every one of us. They are designed to make mistakes because that is how parents get an opportunity to teach and model. This is called discipline.
A few weeks ago I posted this article about the research done on spanking children on my Facebook page and people went crazy. It inspired me to create this video for you, which I have titled, "5 Things You Can Do Besides Hitting Your Child". Hope that it helps to spread the message that hitting your kids is NEVER ok.
