Founder of The Sparkle Sociaty, Laurie Wolk, has always enjoyed empowering others, leading her to become an Author, Educator, and Coach. A “go to” girl since childhood, and a cheerleader at heart, she loves to help people become their best selves. Her passion is helping parents and young girls learn how to communicate and connect with themselves, each other and the outside world.
The Sparkle Society's mission is to work with companies, schools, and individuals to build confidence, leadership, and digital citizenship skills. The organization’s goal: teaching young women how to put down their digital devices and develop “in real life” communication and relationship skills that they aren’t naturally developing due to social media’s pervasive hold on today’s youth. Laurie and her team work to reach this goal through writing curriculum, speaking engagements, workshops, one-on-one guidance and leadership programs. Just as she encourages girls to do, she uses her knowledge and passion to inspire others — both online and in the real world.
A graduate of Emory University, Laurie received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. She is the Author of the upcoming book Girls Just Want to Have Likes: How to Raise Confident Girls in the Face of Social Media Madness and the Editor of The Sparkle Report – a highly acclaimed weekly report that helps parents of tweens/teens stay informed about what is going on in today’s adolescent world and offers guidance on how to spark meaningful conversations with their children surrounding them. She is the recipient of the advanced certification at the Martha Beck and Girls Leadership Institutes. She is also a proud member of the Board of the Westchester Children’s Museum and at Girls Leadership.
